Ronald McDonald Visits Holmes Elementary
Ronald McDonald and friends visited Holmes Elementary on January 28th at 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. as a part of the students’ quarterly behavior incentive.

Barbara Singleton, the secretary at Holmes, said the students are very excited about the visit.

“Everyone had been asked to dress in red and yellow,” she said. “It is going to be about a friendship adventure with Ronald McDonald.”

McDonald is visiting schools across the country to continue his “quest to help kids lead happy, healthy lives,” Singleton said.

His show will help kids learn about friendship, cooperation, anti-bullying and active play.

“He takes the audience on this adventure through music, magic and improvisation,” Singleton said.

The event is just one of many McDonald does throughout communities nation-wide. He also sponsors programs on nutrition, exercise and more.

According to www.mcdonalds.com, the show will offer students life lessons in a new and exciting way.

“Each show offers a fresh approach to communicating core messages about building good character, reading, ecology and safety,” the website said.
