Supt. Spotlight

Posted on: May 27, 2021

Our Supt. Spotlight is shining again and this week we are recognizing some amazing students from WMS, Holmes Elementary, and East End Preschool. First, we want to recognize WMS students Ally Oeder, Victoria Saylor, Janelle Beck, Sam Burt, Zaniah Davis, Sarah Vizcaya, Gracie Gerard, Isabelle Coates, Shyanne Eldridge, Gracie Fox, Carson Edwards, and Jace Doyle are being recognized this week for their creative initiative in developing a WMS Newspaper for their Creativity Class. The students researched formats, generated content, then reviewed and edited their very own newspaper. Well done! We are #HurricaneProud of you.

Also being celebrated this week are Holmes teachers Ashley Davis & Caylee Freytag. They are being recognized in this spotlight for successfully transitioning their homerooms from virtual ed first semester to second semester in-person learning! They both did a fantastic job of building community among students and were constantly thinking ahead to prepare their students for the next step. We are #HurricaneGrateful for your outstanding efforts to help students achieve.

We also want to give a huge shout out to Natalie Harmeling (Dir. of Pupil Services) and Kim Law (Case Manager) for their outstanding leadership, compassion, creativity, and care for their students, families, and staff at East End Preschool. We are #HurricaneGrateful for all that you do. Thank you to all of you for making WCS a great place to work and learn!
