WCS Board of Education 2025
It's a new calendar year for School Boards! Since members are elected and their terms begin in January, that's when a Board of Education is required to hold their Organizational meeting each year. This is a procedural meeting that sets up the Board, Treasurer, and Superintendent to operate the District for the calendar year. The WCS Board held their Organizational meeting on January 13, 2025.
- The Board elected Bill Davis to serve as President for 2025. Bill Liermann was elected to serve as Vice President.
- The Board approved the Regular* meeting schedule for 2025. It is posted on the District website under About / Board of Education / Meetings. You can also view/print a copy here (doc).
- Regular, special**, and subcommittee** meetings for 2025 will be posted on About / Board of Education / Meetings and announced in our website newsfeed (home page).
The Records Retention Committee met immediately following the organizational meeting.
*Regular Board meetings are typically held on the 4th Monday of every month, except when the 4th Monday falls on a holiday or when students are on spring/winter break.
- Board meetings are open to the public. For details see Board Policy/Bylaw 0109.1 Public Participation at Board Meetings.
- If you wish to speak at a general session on a matter not on the general agenda, you must register your intention with the District Treasurer, Kimberly DeWeese, no later than 4:00 PM on the Thursday prior to the Board Meeting.
- If you wish to speak on an item currently on the general agenda, please notify the Treasurer prior to the start of the meeting.

- Upon request to the Superintendent, the District shall make reasonable accommodation for a disabled person to be able to participate in this activity.
