Food Service News

We have great news for our WCS families!

  • The USDA recently granted an extension to the summer lunch program that will continue through December 31st. That means that beginning on September 4th  ALL students, regardless of eligibility, can have free breakfast and lunch whether they are eating in our cafeterias or picking up their pre-ordered meal packs on Wednesdays.  Each student is entitled to one free breakfast and one free lunch per day.  Meals must meet the required components to be free of charge.  Extra entrees and a la carte items can still be purchased with cash in our cafeterias. If funding becomes unavailable, this extension may be terminated earlier than December 31st.

  • As of January 1st, Wilmington City Schools will return to meal service by eligibility.  Please complete and return F&R meal applications as soon as possible.

  • Pre-Ordered meal pick-up will continue to be on Wednesdays from 4-6pm at the WMS horseshoe.  You must pre-order meal-packs online at least one week in advance.  In the Yellow Zone our in-person learners can pre-order 3 meal packs for their remote days. Virtual Learners can order 5 meal packs. The pre-order form is available on our Food Service page.
