Volunteers
If you would like to be more involved with our schools, we hope you'll consider becoming a volunteer. Whether you have an hour a month, or many hours a week, we can use the help. To become a volunteer, you might start by talking to your child's principal and classroom teacher to see if there are areas where they need volunteers.
If you plan on volunteering on a regular basis, you will need to do the following:
- Complete and sign a Volunteer Release Form (pdf) and return it to the school
- Have a BCI Background Check* completed - Take the Civilian Fingerprint / WebCheck form with you to the Clinton County Sheriff's office at 1645 Davids Dr, Wilmington, OH 45177 for your background check and fingerprinting. Details on times, payment options, and ID requirements can be found at Clinton County Sheriff Office's website. Volunteers are responsible for the fee for their background check.
Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to help in our schools. It means a lot to our staff and students and has a positive impact on the educational experience at WCS.
*In accordance with R.C. 109.575, all volunteers who work or apply to work unsupervised with children on a regular basis will be required to provide a set of fingerprints at any time so that a criminal records check can be conducted.
